Common Software links

Here are some of the most common products used in our class. All are free at this time.

 

Adobe Reader - This software allows you to view Portable Document Format (PDF) documents. It is a way to share documents without changing the formatting. PDF documents are commonly used in the course.

Adobe Flash - Our videos are mainly displayed in "Flash", the most popular video format. You will need to have this free program if you have a windows computer.

  •  

Google Chrome – Google’s free browser. An alternative to Internet Explorer.

Mozilla Firefox – Mozilla’s free browser. An alternative to Internet Explorer.

  •  

Dropbox – A free file sharing service which allows you to save files in Dropbox for others to view. Especially good if you have large files you want to share. Password protected privacy.

Team Viewer – If you need support help, we may ask you to download TeamViewer. It is a great free remote diagnosis program. Only after you give a specific support agent a secret password will they be able to view your computer from their location. Most people will not need this.

  •  

Puffin Web Browser” or “Photon web browser”. Links change, so search iTunes for them. These are the browsers which support Flash on Apple products.
